Hello everyone, my name is [Name]. I am currently building my career in the IT field, and I joined Evision Technoserve to improve my technical knowledge, practical skills, and understanding of real-world IT environments.
Through this OJT training, I got the opportunity to learn different areas of IT, from computer hardware and networking to Windows Administration, Microsoft 365, CCNA concepts, and IT service management.
Today, I would like to share my overall learning experience and the skills I developed during this training.
My OJT training covered six important areas of IT: Computer Hardware Fundamentals, CompTIA Network+, Windows Administration, MS Outlook and Office 365, CCNA, and ITIL.
Each module helped me understand a different part of the IT environment. I learned not only the basic concepts but also how these concepts are connected and applied when supporting users, computers, servers, networks, and IT services.
The practical approach of the training also helped me understand technical problems in a more systematic way.
The first area I learned was Computer Hardware Fundamentals. This module helped me understand the physical components of a computer and how these components work together to make a system function properly.
I learned about important components such as the CPU, motherboard, RAM, HDD, SSD, power supply, BIOS and UEFI, along with input, output, and peripheral devices.
I also learned about computer assembly, operating system installation, device drivers, boot processes, and basic hardware diagnostics.
From a practical perspective, I learned how to identify different components, check hardware connections, understand their functions, and troubleshoot common issues such as slow system performance, boot failures, memory-related problems, and peripheral connectivity issues.
This module gave me a strong technical foundation and helped me understand what happens at the hardware level before moving into operating systems and networking.
The second major area was CompTIA Network+, where I developed a better understanding of how computers, servers, and other network devices communicate with each other.
I learned about LAN and WAN, the OSI model, TCP/IP, IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, subnetting, routers, switches, and important network protocols such as DNS, DHCP, TCP, and UDP.
I also learned basic concepts related to network security, including firewalls and VPNs, and understood why secure communication is important in an organizational network.
One of the useful parts of this training was network troubleshooting. I learned how commands such as ipconfig, ping, tracert, and nslookup can be used to check IP configuration, connectivity, routing paths, and DNS-related issues.
Through this learning, I developed a better understanding of how to identify connectivity problems, analyze basic network configurations, and approach common networking issues step by step.
The third area was Windows Administration. This module helped me understand how Windows operating systems and Windows Server environments are installed, configured, managed, and supported in an organization.
I learned about Windows installation and configuration, user and group management, Active Directory, Organizational Units, Group Policy, NTFS permissions, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server administration.
I also learned about system monitoring, software installation, patch management, file sharing, and basic security management.
From a practical learning perspective, I understood how administrators create and manage user accounts, assign permissions, configure system settings, apply policies, and troubleshoot common Windows issues.
This module gave me a clearer understanding of how computers and servers are managed in an enterprise environment and how Windows administrators support users and maintain system availability and security.
Another important area of my training was MS Outlook and Office 365. This module helped me understand how organizations use Microsoft cloud services for communication, productivity, and collaboration.
I learned about MS Outlook, Microsoft 365 applications, Exchange Online, email configuration, mailbox management, shared mailboxes, calendars, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
I also learned about user account management, email security, cloud-based productivity, and common email troubleshooting situations.
Practically, I gained an understanding of how Outlook can be configured and managed, how emails and calendars are organized, how meetings are scheduled, and how documents can be shared through Microsoft 365 services.
This training helped me understand the role of Microsoft 365 in daily business operations and gave me better confidence in handling common user-level support scenarios.
The fifth area was CCNA, with a focus on VLAN, VPN, and Proxy concepts. This module helped me understand how organizations organize, secure, and control network communication.
I learned about VLANs, switch ports, access ports, trunk ports, inter-VLAN communication, VPNs, remote access, and proxy servers.
I understood how VLANs can separate devices into logical networks and how access and trunk ports are used for network communication. I also learned how inter-VLAN communication allows different logical networks to communicate when properly configured.
Along with this, I learned how VPNs provide secure connectivity for remote users and how proxy servers can manage, filter, and forward web traffic.
The practical learning helped me connect these concepts with IP connectivity, network traffic management, secure remote access, and basic network troubleshooting.
The sixth and very important area was ITIL, which helped me understand how IT services are managed in a professional organization.
I learned about Incident Management, Service Desk Management, Change Management, and Problem Management.
I also learned about the complete ticket lifecycle, incident categorization and prioritization, SLA or Service Level Agreement, escalation procedures, documentation, communication with users, and Root Cause Analysis.
From a practical perspective, I understood how support teams create and manage tickets, prioritize incidents based on their impact and urgency, escalate unresolved issues, and coordinate planned changes.
I also learned that Problem Management focuses on identifying the root cause of recurring incidents so that similar issues can be prevented in the future.
This module helped me understand that professional IT support is not only about fixing a technical issue. It also requires proper communication, documentation, process management, timely resolution, and teamwork.
One of the most valuable parts of my OJT training was the practical understanding I developed across these different modules.
I learned how to look at a technical problem from different perspectives. For example, a connectivity issue may require checking the physical hardware, IP configuration, network connectivity, DNS, or system settings.
Similarly, a user issue may involve Windows configuration, permissions, Microsoft 365 services, or an IT support ticket.
This training helped me understand how different IT technologies and support processes work together in a real organizational environment.
It also helped me improve my troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and technical analysis skills.
After completing these modules and practical learning activities, I feel much more confident about my technical knowledge.
I can now explain important networking, Windows, Microsoft 365, hardware, CCNA, and ITIL concepts with a better understanding of their practical use.
I have also become more comfortable with troubleshooting scenarios and understanding how to approach a technical problem systematically.
This training has helped me prepare myself for technical interviews and has given me more confidence to explore opportunities in IT Support, Desktop Support, Networking, Windows Administration, System Administration, and Microsoft 365 support roles.
Overall, my OJT experience with Evision Technoserve has been a valuable learning journey.
The combination of technical concepts, practical learning, troubleshooting, and IT service management has helped me build a stronger foundation in IT.
I would like to thank my trainers and the entire Evision Technoserve team for their guidance, support, and the learning opportunity they provided throughout the training.
I believe the knowledge and practical exposure I gained through this OJT will help me continue improving my skills and prepare myself for future opportunities in the IT industry.
Thank you, Evision Technoserve, for being an important part of my learning journey.
